Who can join REMOA?
Membership of REMOA is open to researchers, microscopists, developers, bioimage analysts and technical specialists whose work involves optical microscopy, digital imaging or related fields within the life sciences and other scientific disciplines.

What is the REMOA Microscopy & Imaging Portal?
The REMOA Microscopy & Imaging Portal is the shared platform for exploring the laboratories, facilities, equipment, technologies and training opportunities available across the network. It provides a central resource for discovering microscopy capabilities and expertise across REMOA.
Who can access the REMOA Microscopy & Imaging Portal?
The public section of the REMOA Microscopy & Imaging Portal is freely accessible to everyone and does not require registration.
Registered users can have different roles within the portal depending on their responsibilities: Lab Managers, Lab Editors and Lab Members. Lab Managers oversee the information and users associated with their laboratory or facility, while Lab Editors can manage and update laboratory or facility information. Lab Members have access and can consult the information of their laboratory or facility.
How can I update my laboratory or facility information?
Information about REMOA laboratories and facilities can be managed and updated through the REMOA Microscopy & Imaging Portal by users with the appropriate permissions. The Lab Manager can manage the laboratory or facility and may also act as its Lab Editor, or designate another member as Lab Editor. Lab Editors can update information about their assigned laboratory or facility, including its expertise, equipment and imaging capabilities.
What is the Lab Editor role?
The Lab Editor role allows a designated member of a laboratory or facility to manage and update its information in the REMOA Microscopy & Imaging Portal. The Lab Editor may be the Lab Manager or another member designated by the Lab Manager.
How can I find microscopy facilities and equipment within REMOA?
The public section of the REMOA Microscopy & Imaging Portal is freely accessible and allows anyone to explore the laboratories and facilities, equipment, technologies and training opportunities available across the network.
